Aimee has been a long-time friend of Ciara and Elle, she is currently our go-to girl for all things pilates and aligning with our true desires. Her business Club Ryse is both an in-studio and online-based pilates class.

Club Ryse was born from the desire to help others connect more deeply to their Self, combining movement, ritual and self-reflection to elevate your energy and experience of life. We sat with Aimee to talk about her motivation, life experiences and her wisdom to channel your very best life and self.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS…

Dreamer | Optimistic | Heart-led.

NAME THREE FEMALES THAT INSPIRE YOU.

I'm surrounded by inspiring women so it is difficult to name 3 but there is something really special about growing up with the same group of women from your late teens through to your 30s and beyond. I've watched my sister and best girlfriends go through some of life's biggest moments including falling in & out of love, marriage, creating families, losing loved ones & building businesses and there is nothing more inspiring to me than to watch them move through all of it with the grace & honesty that they do. I'm very lucky. 

WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO WORK WITHIN A WOMEN-LED SPACE?

My business, Club Ryse, was brought to life earlier this year. My intention from the very beginning has been to allow myself the space to take the journey of growing this brand slowly, softly & intentionally. We have been taught that our worth is a byproduct of our output and I just don't believe this is true nor does it serve us. As women, we are innately cyclical, creative & intuitive, traits that haven't always been valued in business. Something I've learnt through an amazing conscious professional space I'm a part of called Off-run by Alison Rice & Lucy Sparks, is the concept of 'seasons'. Some seasons are for building a business, some are for family and some are for rest, rejuvenation & stoking our creative fire. As Alison wisely teaches, "We can have it all, perhaps just not all at the same time." I think as women in business, we have a unique opportunity to empower one another to honour our cyclical nature, our creative ebbs & flows and our intuition.

HOW DO YOU ENVISION THE FUTURE OF WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES FOR THE NEXT GENERATION TO COME? 

When I look at my step-daughter & my niece, my hope is that by creating my own version of soft, slow & intentional success, I give them permission to do the same. My hope is that we can help to create a future where the next generation can be present with their families AND their businesses whilst nourishing their bodies & spirits along the way.

WHAT SPARKS PASSION IN LIFE FOR YOU?

My mornings in nature - I'm lucky enough to live near a bush track that hugs the Ocean and there is something magic about the energy there. Being with my beautiful family. The journey of self-growth & understanding myself on a deeper, more compassionate level.
